About

Yazmin started weightlifting in 2015 after being introduced to the sport through CrossFit. She was finishing off a degree in Maths and Statistics at the time, and decided to take the summer off after graduating to pursue weightlifting and see where it would take her. 7 years later, there she is, a national record holder and Olympian.

What makes you Relentless?

“I come from a tiny island, where achieving high success in sport isn’t common. When I started lifting 7 years ago, no female weightlifter from Malta had ever competed at Europeans, Worlds or the Olympics yet. Achieving this while already being 22 years old meant I had to work twice as hard.”
